Rebecca, I’m no authority on strike indicators because I loathe having to use them in the first place However, I’ve used yarn and similar foam styles, as well as adhesive foam versions, and what I like about the Thingamabobbers is their buoyancy. When a fish takes a subtle whack, the balloon let’s me know it, so I can be sure that even though I missed the hook set, there was a strike. No matter how you dress it up, a bobber is a bobber.

I don’t know, a big old Sage sticker like that should deserve a nice Z-axis in exchange for the advertising. You both might need to do a full truck wrap next time to up your chances.
It sounds like a great trip though! A good day, with great people and even some fish in the mix. Of course, it couldn’t be too good, thats why the weather got bad on you. Keeps things in perspective =)
I have to say, I’m surprised about the use of the ‘thingamabobber’, so far, I’ve ignored those and used the old fashioned indicator. Are they better? (or does it just feel like a full blown bobber)
